NFTs That Bridge The Divide Between Digital And Traditional Art

StrandedWebs is a collection of 10,000 unique art pieces minted as NFTs. They are affectionately referred to as “webs.” The collection was created with the belief that art should be able to transcend from the digital space into the physical world.

Get yourself an NFT that looks so good you’ll want to post it as your profile photo on social media and hang a print of it on your living room wall. Yeah, with these NFTs you can do both!

Size And Scale

The resolution of a single web is larger than the combined resolution of 50 Full HD (FHD) screens. The related mockup shows StrandedWebs #6030 on display over 10 rows of 5 columns of FHD monitors (1,920px × 1,080px each), which have a combined screen real estate of 9,600px × 10,800px. Another column of 10 monitors would need to be added to see the rest of the 10,800px × 10,800px art piece.

  • Pixel Size:
    10,800px × 10,800px = 116,640,000 pixels (116.64MP)
  • Print Size:
    72in × 72in (6ft × 6ft) at 150 DPI (minimum quality)
    36in × 36in (3ft × 3ft) at 300 DPI (high quality)

Quality And Detail

The StrandedWebs artwork likely has more detail than you’ve ever seen. Literally.

These two images are a good example of just how detailed the webs are. The first image shows a zoomed-out view of StrandedWebs #1968. The second image is a zoomed-in portion of the art piece. The pattern is so large that the individual lines in the “Twill” cloth are clearly visible.

Signed And Numbered

Traditional art is often signed by its creator and numbered if it’s part of a limited series. The StrandedWebs collection pays homage to those traditions. Each piece boasts a collection “signature” in the bottom-right corner. The item’s number in the collection is displayed directly above the signature.

10,000 Unique Pieces

All the design elements were handcrafted by the StrandedWebs team or created from design resources in the public domain. However, the art pieces themselves were created exclusively by custom “generator” scripts that chose, assembled, and rendered the various aspects of each artwork (within a range of parameters). All the choices of styles, colors, patterns, zoom levels, positioning, easter eggs, etc. were based on random computer selections.

Each web is different, and the number of possibilities is virtually endless. In terms of design elements, the collection features 10 different web styles, over 20 color themes/palettes, a large assortment of patterns (with various chances of being selected), and even a few easter eggs (“Loaded Webs” and “Special Backgrounds”). Each piece is also zoomed and positioned randomly, which makes for even more variety.

Sized To Be Displayed

Displaying NFTs has been challenging for collectors and art galleries alike. The problem is that most NFT artwork is relatively tiny — often small enough to print on a single sheet of printer paper.

StrandedWebs art pieces were made to be seen. Display them the way you want, whether that's physically or digitally.
